We will be
collecting donations for Hope Pregnancy Center and Pleasant Hills
Children's Home in May. Please see below for additional details on these
projects. Our next Women's ministry meeting will be Saturday June 13th ,
2009 at 10:30. We will be discussing our Christmas stocking project for
children in the Dallas Metro area and fundraising ideas for our 2009
mission pledge. Cindy Baumgartner will be presenting the devotion at our
June meeting. Our goal in Women's Ministries is not only to minister to
those outside the church but also to encourage and build each other up
as sisters in Christ. Please join us next month for this time of
fellowship and ministry.
Hope Pregnancy Center
Hope Pregnancy Center is a ministry sharing the hope of Christ and helping young ladies to choose life for their babies instead of abortion. In May, we will be participating in the Baby Bottle Boomerang to support HPC. If you want to participate, we will have baby bottles available on May 10th for you to take home and fill with cash, coins, or checks. This money will help HPC provide free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, parenting classes, maternity and baby supplies, and the good news of Jesus Christ. Please return your filled baby bottles back to Tamala Starkey or Cindy Baumgartner by Sunday, June 14th.
Pleasant Hills Children's Home
Pleasant Hills Children's Home is operated completely on donations and is currently full to capacity. We are collecting canned goods and household cleaning supplies to help them. Please see the list below for suggested items. If you purchase dishwasher or laundry detergent, make sure it is safe for septic tanks. Please turn in your items by Sunday , May 24th.
