The history of 1st Assembly of God of Harker Heights, Texas began 33 years ago. A time when the country was in tremendous conflict and confusion over world issues, a great man of God had a vision. That man brought that vision to Harker Heights, Texas  and he let God work through him to establish a place of worship and a place where men, women, and children could come and find the only solution to their problems, Jesus Christ. The man and wife that shared that vision many years ago and worked hard to make it a reality so that we can enjoy what we have today, was Reverend and Mrs. Calvin Durham. They were the founding pastoral family of 1st Assembly of God, Harker Heights in 1974.
